In the early 15th century, the most important inns for merchants and coachmen were located on Taborstrasse, which is nowadays the street of Schick Hotel City Central ****. The hotel originates from 1720, when the it was named Weisses Roessl. Shortly after the turn of the century, the hotel was completely rebuilt, then it reopened in 1921 as Central Hotel. The hotel joined the family-run Schick hotel chain in 1990. The most recent renovation was finished in 2007.
